Rules- Archers challenge either the person above them, or the person above that. A date and time is agreed, when you will meet, and shoot 18 arrows from 20 yards at a 60cm face. If the lower ranked player gets a higher score, they move into the position the higher ranked player was, and you swap. So if 8 challenges 6 and wins, 6 moves to position 8. If the scores are tied, or the higher ranked wins, there is no change
- Matches involving the top 3 archers are shot on a 40 cm trispot, from the same distance.
- You need a good reason to refuse a challenge! Not just that you don't want to be beaten by that person
- Shoot at least 1 match in an Oxford week, and no more than 3.
- Results should be emailed/written down and given to Marc, and I will update both the physical ladder at Iffley, and the e-ladder here.
- At the end of the term, awards will be made for top men/women/novices, and there may also be other awards, such as most improved, most weeks at no.1 etc. These awards will probably take an alcoholic/chocolatey form.
- If you don't shoot at all for 2 weeks, you will lose places. You only need come shoot for 15 minutes, so unless you're near death there's no excuse :P
