The 2008 OUCofA Club Indoor Champs were held on the 4th of March, and consisted of a seeding half portsmouth followed by head to head knockouts of varying numbers of arrows because of time constraints.
There was a bit of an upset in the seeding as Sam and Dave were both beaten by Marc and Darren (who put in a PB of 284). After that things went more to form, with the results as follows:
Experienced
1st - Dave Longworth
2nd - Sam Johnson
3rd - Darren Strange
Novice
1st - Dave Armstrong
2nd - Wei-Yu Wang
3rd - Chris Waite

Oxford 5th and 6th at BUSA! |
The 2008 BUSA Indoor Archery Championship was held in York on Saturday the 1st of March, and was the largest ever BUSA Indoors. We took 13 archers overnight on Friday, and had a great day.
Our experienced team came 5th with a score of 2201 (Marc Tamlyn, Sam Johnson, Darren Strange, Andy Jarvis).
Our novice team came 6th (Dave Armstrong, Tom Jones, Chris Waite).
This was in keeping with our recent experienced team finishes, and well up on our usual novice finishes (with the exception of our stellar 2nd place finish in 2006).
